Diazolidinyl urea is also can be called as Germall II which is white crystalline hygroscopic powder. It is colorless with characteristic odor which is soluble in water, and can dissolve in propanediol and glycerol, but slightly soluble in alcohol.
Diazolidinyl urea is an antimicrobial preservative used in cosmetics. It is chemically related to imidazolidinyl urea which is used in the same way. Diazolidinyl urea acts as a formaldehyde releaser.
